We believe that a slow fashion approach that prioritises quality, craftsmanship and process rekindles the emotional connection necessary for a truly empowering lifestyle.

Materials

We use fabrics that are certified regenerated, organic or deadstock.

The choice of materials has an enormous impact on the environment, as up to 80% of emissions in the fashion value chain occurs at the raw materials extraction and material production stage (before clothing is even made)!

We consider two main factors when selecting fabrics: comfort and environmental impact.

From certified Lenzing TENCEL™ and ECOVERO™ to organic cotton, silk and linen, we prefer natural fibres that are breathable and biodegradable with a lower carbon footprint.

What brands won’t tell you about deadstock

The use of deadstock fabrics alone does not equate with sustainability. Most deadstock fabric is never incinerated and will not be sent to landfill. It is however great for small, independent labels as we get to tap onto surplus branded fabrics whilst avoiding the production of virgin fibres.

Process & Ethos

We do not follow trends or seasonal fashion calendars.

All styles are produced in small batch productions and restocked only when we sell out. Plant-dyeing techniques are used in limited capsule ranges and one-of-a-kind silk items.

Supporting Small Businesses

By working directly with artisans and small production houses, we also support a thriving network of small businesses. Our partners include Living Blue Bangladesh that supports local indigo farmers and artisans, and Tarum Bali, a Balinese dye-house specialised in the art of natural dyeing. We work with a Singapore-based home studio on drafting, alterations and customised orders.

  • We shun discounting practices that perpetuate fast fashion production and consumption patterns.

  • Our pricing is based on the quality of our merchandise and the costs inherent to keeping our brand small, independent and design-focused.

By launching only timeless styles that stand the test of time in small production runs, we minimize excess inventory whilst keeping our designs unique and differentiated from the high street. We do offer mailing list discount and occasional sales on selected styles.

We encourage customers to make considered purchases that will remain in their wardrobe for a long time.

With that in mind, we offer complimentary basic alterations to help customers extend the life cycle of our products.

Shared Values

We are also stocked with Zerrin, a Singapore-based retailer of curated, independent sustainable labels. Since 2022, we also showcase annually at the anticipated Boutique Fairs, a twice annual event that promotes quality and design-led merchandise by independent, founder-led labels.

We believe that fashion can and should be better - better made, and better for people and the environment.
