Cotton is an all-natural, biodegradable fibre that is valued for its comfort and breathability. It has mixed sustainability credentials; conventional cotton is a water-thirsty crop that requires the use of polluting, harmful pesticides, whilst organic and recycled cotton is reasonably sustainable.
